1. Four M. Sc. – II year students were participated in the ‘National Level Innovative Research Idea Competition of Vivekanand Mahotsav 2022: Shodh Chaitanyacha’ organized by Vivekanand College, Kolhapur on 30th May 2022 and a group of Miss. Ashwini Patil and Miss. Madhuri Kodag won Third Prize.
2. Two Ph.D. students Mr. Sagar Ingole and Mr. Pradip Gaikwad have received “Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj National Research Fellowship-2021 (CSMNRF-2021)” from Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research Training and Human Development Institute (Sarthi), Pune on 01st January 2022 who are working under the guidance of Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe.
3. B.Sc. – III year student Miss. Tanuja Anil Ekunde has earned Second Prize at both District (11th February 2022) and University Level (14th February 2022) in Avishkar Research Convention organized by Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
4. Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe was included in “World's Top 2% Scientists” by Stanford University, USA in 2021 – 22.
5. Department of Physics has organized a Webinar on “Unwrapping Brighter Future Opportunities after Post Graduation in Physical Science” organized by Department of Physics, Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath, India on Friday, 22nd April 2022.
6. Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe has received “Brand Kolhapur Award” by the auspicious hands of Honourable Mr. Vikas Kharage, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Sunday, 07th November 2021 at Hotel Sayaji, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India.

1. Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe and Dr. Rajaram S. Sutar have delivered Invited Talks in various National and International Conferences as a resource person.
2. Department of Physics has organized a “One Day International Symposium on Advances in Photocatalysis” organized by Department of Physics, Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath, India on Wednesday, 13th April 2022.
3. Dr. Rajaram S. Sutar has earned Ph.D. Degree in Physics under the guidance of Dr. A. K. Bhosale on 30th December 2021 from Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
4. Dr. Vijaykumar C. Malavade has earned Ph.D. Degree in Physics under the guidance of Dr. S. R. Kokare on September 2021 from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
5. Dr. Rajaram S. Sutar has received “Best Oral Presentation” Award in “International conference on Advances in Material Science and Applications (Online) (ICASMA-2020)” on 03rd – 04th September, 2020, organized by Dept. of Physics, M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (Autonomous Institute, Affiliated to VTU), Bengalore- 560054, Karnataka, India.
6. The faculty and researchers of the Department of Physics have published the 05 research papers as International Journal of Hydrogen Energy 47 (21), 11143-11152, 2022, Macromolecular Symposia 400 (1), 2100096, 2021, Macromolecular Symposia 400 (1), 2100083, 2021, Coatings 11 (10), 1162, 2021, Journal of Applied Polymer Science 138 (9), 49943, 2021, in peer reviewed International Journals and also participated and presented their research work in about 15 National and International conferences.
7. Ten M.Sc. – II students namely Mr. Narayan P Kulkarni, Mr. Akshay R Jundle, Mr. Nikhil N Pargaonkar, Miss. Nilam B Gharge, Mr. Prashant S Yadav, Miss. Shrutika S Kshirsagar, Miss. Susmita S Kanchankoti, Miss. Akshata S Sawant, Miss. Snehal G Kodag, Miss. Pratiksha B Patil have published there project research work in reputed and peer reviewed journal, Macromolecular Symposia (WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim), Macromolecular Symposia 400 (1), 2100096, 2021 and Macromolecular Symposia 400 (1), 2100083, 2021.

Bhosale, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Physics, has received prestigious “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement Award” for distinguished contributions to the development of the Nation and achieving outstanding excellence in the field of Teaching, Research, and Publications by National Institute for Socio Economic Development (R) Bengaluru on 06 May 2023.
2. Miss. Ekunde R. A. has registered for Ph.D. degree under Co-Guidance of Dr. A. K. Bhosale, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Physics.
3. Dr. Rajaram S. Sutar, Assistant Professor, has joined as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Henan University, Keifeng, China.
