2020-2021
   1.  Department of Physics has organized consecutive “Sifth International Conference on Advances in Materials Science (Online) (ICAMS – 2021)” during 23 – 24 April 2021. In this online International conference, eight scientists from various Universities around the world like, Pusan National University, South Korea, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan, Peking University Shougang Hospital, Beijing, China, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, India, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, Qatar University, Qatar were delivered an Invited Talk and total about 300 participants have attended the conference.
   2.  Through the International Research Collaboration, Qatar University, Qatar on Wednesday, 03rd March 2021, given a Financial Assistance of Rs. 8500/- to the Researchers of Department of Physics for the payment towards the registration fee of Sixth International Conference on Advances in Materials Science (Online) (ICAMS- 2021) held during 23rd – 24th April 2021.
   3.  Department of Physics has organized consecutive “Fifth International Conference on Advances in Materials Science (Online) (ICAMS – 2020)” during 06 – 07 June 2020. In this online International conference, eight scientists from various Universities around the world like, Henan University, China, Mahidol University, Thialand, Kyoto University, Japan, Swansea University, United Kingdom, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland, Tokyo University of Science, Japan, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India were delivered an Invited Talk and total about 410 participants have attended the conference.
   4.  Department of Physics has organized One Day Online Workshop on “Guidance on UGC NET – SET Exam in Physics” on Saturday, 20th February 2021.
   5.  Department of Physics has organized “Webinar on Opportunities of Higher Education and Job for B.Sc. Physics Students”, organized by Department of Physics, Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath, India on Sunday, 31st May 2020.
   6.  Department of Physics has organized “Webinar on Single Crystal Perovskites: Next Wave of Photovoltaic Technology”, organized by Department of Physics, Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath, India on Sunday, 14th June 2020. 
   7.  This year, one Ph.D. student has joined under Dr. A. K. Bhosale and three Ph.D. students have joined under Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe.
   8.  Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe has successfully completed a Major Research Project of worth Rs. 35 Lakh of INSPIRE Faculty Award, Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi (2015 - 2020).
   9.  Prof. L. D. Kadam, Principal, Arts, Science and Commerce College, Ramanandnagar (Burli), Kirloskarwadi, has delivered a guest lecture for M.Sc. students on “Career Opportunities after M.Sc. (Physics)” on Friday, 12th March 2021.
   10. The faculty and researchers of the Department of Physics have published the 05 research papers (Journal of Applied Polymer Science 138 (9), 49943, 2021, Catalysts 11 (1), 91, 2021, Materials Chemistry and Physics 243, 122634, 2020, Inorganic chemistry 59 (3), 1996-2004, 2020,  Progress in Organic Coatings 137, 105373, 2020) and 01 review article (Progress in Organic Coatings 138, 105381, 2020) in peer reviewed International Journals and also participated and presented their research work in about 22 National and International conferences.
   11. Five M.Sc. – II students namely Miss. Manisha S. Mane, Miss. Revati C. Salunkhe, Miss. Sima S. Gaikwad, Mr. Prashant J. Kalel, Mr. Shriram D. Manadeshi have published there project research work in reputed and peer reviewed journal, Macromolecular Symposia (WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim) and got citations in Google Scholar.
   12. The Department of Physics Alumni, Miss. Pratiksha Patil, Miss. Supriya Hipparagi and Mr. Satish Karle have donated Air Cooler to the Department of Physics of worth Rs. 6500/- on Thursday, 04th February 2021.
   13. Miss. Manisha S. Mane (M.Sc. – II) and Miss. Supriya P. Hipparagi (B.Sc. – III) have earned “Student of the Year Award” by Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath.
   14. The faculty and researchers of the Department of Physics have actively participated in various online webinars, online scientific quizzes, national and international conferences, refresher courses, faculty development programme and other.
   15. The guest lectures were delivered by Dr. L. D. Kadam, Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Ramanandnagar (Burli), (Career Opportunities after M.Sc.), Dr. R. C. Kambale, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune (Condensed Matter Physics), Dr. S. R. Jigajeni, Institute of Science, Nagpur (Materials Science), Mr. Sachin Patil, PDVP College, Tasgaon (Quantum Mechanics).

 

2019-2020
   1.  The Department of Physics has organized consecutive “Fourth International Conference on Advances in Materials Science” during 20th – 21st January 2020. In this conference, two scientists from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey (Prof. Levent Demirel, Dr. Annamaria Miko) and one researcher from Qatar University, Qatar (Dr. Kishor Kumar Sadasivuni) were participated with total participants of about 315.     

   2.  Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe and two students Miss. Pratiksha B. Patil (M.Sc.-II) and Miss. Supriya P. Hipparagi (B.Sc.-III) of Dept. of Physics visited Tokyo University of Science, Noda, Japan during 22nd November to 01st December 2019 through “Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science” (Sakura Exchange Program in Science) administered by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Japan.

   3.  Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe visited as Visiting Professor at Henan Key Laboratory of Polyxometalate Chemistry, Henan Joint International Research Laboratory of Environmental Pollution Control Materials, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Henan University, Kaifeng 475004, P. R. China during 03rd May 2019 to 17th July 2019.

   4.  Department of Physics have International MoU with Henan University, China in 2018. Through this International MoU, Henan University has donated the various research instruments and equipments of Rs. 05 Lakhs to the research laboratory of Department of Physics.

   5.  Two faculty members Dr. A. K. Bhosale and Dr. S. S. Latthe have completed Faculty Development Programme on Data Science organized by Bharati Vidyapeeths Dr. Patangrao Kadam Mahavidyalaya, Sangli during the period from 24th – 30th December 2019.
   6.  The Department of Physics arranged a facility to observe (solar eclipse viewing goggles) Solar Eclipse on 26thDecember 2019.
   7.  One of the M.Sc. – I students, Miss. Pratiksha B. Patil has ranked first in the University Examination of Shivaji University, Kolhapur (May 2019).
   8.  Two students Miss. Rutuja Ekunde and Miss. Supriya Hipparagi (B.Sc.-III) were participated in District Level Avishkar Research Convention held at Balwant College, Vita on 06th January 2020.
   9.  The 04 research groups from the college were participated in the National Level Innovative Research Idea Competition of Vivekanand Mahotsav 2020: Shodh Chaitanyacha organized by Vivekanand College, Kolhapur on 31st January 2020 and a group of Miss. Rutuja Ekunde and Miss. Ashwini Patil (B.Sc.-III, Physics) won Second Prize.
   10. M.Sc.-II student, Miss. Manisha S. Mane has earned Best Poster Presentation Award in the Fourth International Conference on Advances in Materials Science organized by Department of Physics, Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath during 20th – 21st January 2020.
   11. M.Sc. – II students have participated in the One Day State Level Seminar on “Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology” organized by Department of Physics, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Mahavidyalaya, Pandharpur, Maharashtra, India on 04th February 2020.
   12. Miss. Pooja Koli (M.Sc.: 2018 – 19 Batch) and Mr. Chandrakant Barakade (B.Sc.: 2018 – 19 Batch) got awarded by Japanese Fujishima – Terashima Award for securing highest number of marks in B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Physics).
   13. The Department of Physics has organized Educational Study Tour for B.Sc.-III students during 07th – 09th February 2020 to Mahabaleswar – Pachgani – Pratapgadh – Ganpati Pule – Marleswar – Kolhapur.
   14. The guest lectures were also conducted by Dr. J. L. Bhosale, Shikshan Maharshi Bapuji Salunkhe Mahavidyalaya, Miraj (Materials Science), Dr. C. M. Kanamadi, Devchand College, Arjunnagar (Atomic and Molecular Physics), Dr. A. P. Torane, Y C Institute of Satara (Electrodynamics).

 

 2018-2019
   1.  Miss. Tejaswhini Shinde (M.Sc.) and Miss. Manisha Mane (B.Sc.) got awarded by Japanese Fujishima – Terashima Award for securing highest number of marks in B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Physics).      
   2.  The Department of Physics has organized consecutive “Third International Conference on Advances in Materials Science” during 27th – 29th December 2018.
   3.  An International MoU was signed between Department of Physics, Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath and Henan University, China in December 2018.
   4.  Dr. Sanjay S. Latthe and three students Miss. Mayuri Sutar, Miss. Varsha Patil, and Mr. Chandrakant Barakade of Dept. of Physics, Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath have visited Tokyo University of Science, Noda, Japan during 10th June 2018 – 30th June 2018 through “Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science” (Sakura Exchange Program in Science) administered by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Japan.
   5.  Hosted Prof. Anock Somadder, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet-3114, Bangladesh for 03 months (March – May 2018) to carry out the research project in the research laboratory through funding by India Science and Research Fellowship (ISRF) Programme (2017-2018), Centre for International Co-operation in Science (CICS) / Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India.
   6.  Dr. A. K. Bhosale was selected as Member and Dr. S. R. Kokare and Dr. S. S. Latthe as Subcommittee Members in Board of Studies (BOS) in Physics under faculty of Science and Technology, Shivaji University, Kolhapur (2018-19).
   7.  The Department of Physics has jointly organized “One Day International Workshop on Job Opportunities for Indian Students in Japan” with Department of Chemistry, and IQAC, Raje Ramrao Mahavidyalaya, Jath, India on 28thFebruary 2019.
   8.  The Department of Physics has organized “One Day National Workshop on Contributions of Women to Science and Opportunities for Women in Science” on 15th February 2019.
   9.  Department of Physics has organized One Day Workshop on “Guidance on UGC NET – SET Exam in Physics” on 23rd February 2019
   10. Three M.Sc. – II students namely Miss. Tejashwini Shinde, Miss. Smita Pawar, and Mr. Tushar Khot have published there project research work in reputed and peer reviewed journal, ACS Appl. Nano Mater., 2019, 2 (2), pp 799–805. (IF = 4.5) and got citations of 44 in Google Scholar.
